Geoffrey Roy Rush an Academy Award winner for Best Actor, has also won three BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globes, an Emmy, and a Tony Award. Among his most famous films are Shine, Pirates of the Caribbean, The King’s Speech, The Best Offer, and Elizabeth. From 2011 to 2017, he served as President of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.

Paolo Benvenuti initially pursued a career as a painter, but, starting from ’68, he gradually shifted his focus to cinema. He worked as an assistant to Roberto Rossellini and as an assistant director to Jean Marie Straub. His films have competed in the most important national and international festivals, including Venice, Locarno, Toronto, Tokyo, winning several awards. In 2008, the International Film Festival of Rotterdam dedicated a personal retrospective to him.

Virginie Massaien is a Belgian editor specialized in image and sound editing. Her extensive experience has led her to work in both documentary and fiction for major film productions. She teaches at the National Higher Institute of Performing Arts in Brussels.

Frances Stonor Saunders is a prize-winning writer, a cultural critic and broadcaster, and the former Arts Editor of the New Statesman. With a background in film documentaries for BBC television and Channel 4, she now makes radio documentaries for the BBC. She is also the founder of the multi-media project ‘What Would You Take?’ which explores the themes of displacement and identity through personal stories of memories, language and imagination. Frances was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.
