(President) Based in London, Vanessa Thorpe has written about the arts, entertainment and media for The Observer for more than two decades. She is a veteran of the Cannes film festival and the London Film Festival, as well as covering developments in fine art, theatre and publishing. She wrote for the London Evening Standard and The Independent on Sunday early in her career, winning nominations and awards, and has since served as a judge for television’s Bafta Awards, the British Radio Drama Awards and for the annual national press awards. She regularly contributes to cultural magazines, podcasts and radio shows.

Roberto Chiesi is Director of the international journal Letteratura & Cinema / Literature & Cinema, and head of the Pasolini Study Center – Archive at the Cineteca di Bologna, he is a member of the executive board of the international journal Studi pasoliniani and of the editorial board of the periodical Cineforum. He has edited the DVD releases of several films in the “Ten Films” series of the Bergman Collection for BIM. He is the author or editor of several books, including the monograph Pasolini – The Ghost of the Present (1970–1975), published by Vallecchi in 2022.

Patrick Tresch Patrick Tresch, born in 1971, graduated in 1998 with a master in film directing from the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne (Switzerland). He then pursued a career as a director of photography and became a member of the Swiss Cinematographers Society. With extensive experience in handheld camera work and a broad technical expertise, he approaches a wide range of genres, including documentary, fiction, stop-motion animation, and 3D filmmaking. Always seeking new challenges, Patrick Tresch favors projects that allow him to explore new cinematic forms, at the crossroads of reality and imagination. In 2012 he received the Panavision New Filmmaker Award, Best Cinematography in Los Angeles.

Paolo Benvenuti initially pursued a career as a painter, but, starting from ’68, he gradually shifted his focus to cinema. He worked as an assistant to Roberto Rossellini and as an assistant director to Jean Marie Straub. His films have competed in the most important national and international festivals, including Venice, Locarno, Toronto, Tokyo, winning several awards. In 2008, the International Film Festival of Rotterdam dedicated a personal retrospective to him.
